Brodzkis Arkadjušas

Arkadjušas Brodzkis (1922-?) was born in Vilnius, in the family of a bank officer. In 1928, together with his family, he moved to Gdansk (Danzig), where his father served in a forest trade society. In 1929, his family moved to Warsaw and later in Bydgoszcz, where he entered a primary school under the city’s N. Copernicus Gymnasium. In 1934-1937, he studied at the State Gymnasium No. 765. In 1937-1938, he was learning at the private boys’ gymnasium in Warsaw of the association Askolan. In February 1939, he returned to Vilnius and joined the private coeducational gymnasium Oświata (Enlightenment). In 1940 he received his maturity certificate and in the autumn of the same year submitted a request to the Mathematics Department of Mathematics and Natural Faculty of Vilnius University. He studied there briefly because on 19 September 1941 he was expelled from the university on the basis of the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Higher Education Department of the Educational Board, under the authority of the National Socialists. No information on the further fate of Arkadjušas Brodzkis is known.
